EPISCOPAL WORSHIP I have prepared the following information I need regarding your Worship Experience. Please take a moment to address each question the best you can. Voluntaries Prelude - How long is your prelude music? Offertory - How long is your music during the offering? Postlude - How long is your postlude music? (answer the above in a range of minutes, so I can select appropriate music) Also, do you print Voluntary Information in your bulletin(s)? Hymns Introductions - a full intro or a partial (i.e. refrain, 1/2 verse, etc.) Hymns announced or not? Will your congregation enjoy Alternate Hymn Harmonizations or Variations on the last verse of a hymn? Descants? Choral Preludes or Choral Intros to introduce a hymn? Will there be a choir or group to lead singing? If so, I ask them to sing unison to support the congregation on the verse utilizing an Alternate Hymn Harmonization. If there is no support, is your congregation able to enjoy these extras and still be able to sing the hymn? If hymn embellishments are acceptable, I will appreciate having the hymns I don't have faxed to me as soon as possible, so I can set up a Worship Folder for both the Hymns and the liturgy. Anthem At what point in the service does the Choir typically perform their Anthem (i.e. Offering or another place)? Liturgy Is any of the liturgy sung? If so, what intro is given (i.e. as written, chord, pitch, etc.)? Please note below. Also, make any additions to sung liturgy not listed. Kyrie Glory To God Psalm Sanctus (Holy, Holy) Lord's Prayer Agnus Dei If the liturgy is taken straight from the Hymnal, I may have copies already in my files. If not, I will need copies of the liturgy as well. Let me know what Setting you are using, so I can check. Children's Message Is there a Children's Message? If so, do you like walking music for the Children to come forward and/or return to their seats or other classes? I can play children's music or something different. Communion When should I partake, at the beginning or the end? During distribution, is there any special music, sung hymns, or quiet music? Quiet Music Is there any other place where quiet music is appropriate, other than possibly during Communion? I think this covers all music possibilities. If I missed anything or you have something to add, please feel free to include in your response. If you have any questions, please give me a call at (713) 668-2248, leave a message and my Call Notes will page me. You can email this back to me as an attachment or fax it to me at (713) 668-7000. Your prompt assistance in providing this information is greatly appreciated. Also, please provide any additional contact information in case I need to speak with you further. In His Service, Linda A.
